Happy Thanksgiving week! I swear this week was MADE for positive psychology. A holiday devoted to deep appreciation, savoring our loved ones, and feeling heartfelt gratitude for all that is good ā that isĀ myĀ kind of holiday!
I canāt help but wonder, though, why do we isolate this beautiful feeling to only once a year? If you only ate healthy greens one day a year – but burgers and pizza the remaining 364, youād feel gross. If you went to the gym only once a year, you wouldnāt expect to get buff.
Gratitude is the same. Consistent gratitude creates better health! It not onlyfeelsĀ good. Itās good for us!Ā Gratitude boosts the immune system, lowers blood pressure and increases happiness. JustĀ writing down three good things daily has lasting benefits!Ā Can you imagine what the world would be like if we were each expressing gratitude every day? Can you imagine the high vibration weād live in? Weād have more joyful communities, more peaceful families and weād be a healthier society!!
Soā¦ if we know that gratitude leads toĀ greater health,Ā why donāt we do it every day?
If you are like many of my clients, you may think you donāt have time for gratitude. As one client recently said, āI barely have time to brush my teeth let alone write down daily gratitude!ā In this weekāsĀ PurposeFULL message, I share the trick to incorporate gratitude into your daily life.
