Greetings from Jerusalem! I just woke up and ran in this beautiful city and am feeling so, so blessed. My heart is already blown up! This land radiates love, the earth emanates light, and my SOUL is dancing with glee to be here.
Yesterday, I didn’t know how I would get on the plane. After the miscarriage (if you missed me sharing about it, you can read more about what it is teaching me here), I didn’t want to do anything or see anyone. Frankly, I was dreading a trip thousands of miles away from my mom and my friends and my bed.
Perhaps you know this feeling. You are so stuck in your own misery that you don’t want to do anything. You know you should go out and do, you know you should see people and try to feel better, but you’re just too sad.
I get it and have so been there… which is why your SPARK this week is Go!
Go, do, see, experience. See your friends and let them comfort you. Do something silly or meaningful or relaxing – anything that makes you smile. Go fill your soul with love, joy, and purpose.
Go experience something new, something bold, something you’ve YEARNED to do. One of my dear friends is Italian and has longed to go to Italy her entire life. For years, I’ve told her, “Go, go NOW.” But she always said “In a few years…” or “When I have more money…” A month ago, she fell ill and has been unconscious in a hospital. I pray she gets to go to Italy, I pray she gets to breathe. carin, there may never be a “right” time to GO, but I have learned that when I follow my needs and desires, it always works out.
I didn’t plan this trip to Israel. We are here for an intergenerational trip with Josh’s whole family. Yet, I know that this trip was planned for me, for us, right now, for a great purpose. G-d has put us here to heal, to experience love at the deepest roots of this earth. I know I am here for spiritual journey. I know G-d has said to me, GO, Carin, GO! Go and climb Masada and fill your soul with radiant light. Go and dance at the great Western Wall and heal your heart. Go and connect with your roots, with your family, and feel loved. GO!
I accept this mission and so I say the same to you. Go!
With so much love,
PS – Email me where you went so that I can enjoy and share in your adventures!
