Greetings from beautiful Cleveland Ohio! After living here for 8 years, this city will always be home.
I left Cleveland 3 years ago to go to graduate school in Positive Psychology, pursue my dreams of being a motivational speaker and empowerment coach who inspired others to live their dreams. And today I am living mine. I do work I love with clients I admire. I get to speak to thousands of women and work with the best corporations in the world including Progressive Insurance, AVON, Morgan Stanley and theCleveland Clinic. I live in the city I’d dreamt of experiencing. I have incredible friends, family and love in my life. I am beyond grateful and humbled.
It hasn’t all been easy though. Living my dreams required taking risks. (And being raised with Midwest values, I was TERRIFIED of risk!!) To go to graduate school, I had to leave the safe “known” of my job. To experience the big city, I had to leave my home and friends. Fortunately, I saw these choices as walking TOWARD my dreams. Walking toward my destiny. I knew that I was put on this earth for a purpose and I needed to walk forward to pursue it.So what do you dream of? What is calling you forward?As I boarded the plane on Monday, I recorded this video for you all about pursuing your dreams. It may take some risk and it will take a lot of hard work and effort, but when we are called forward, it is SO worth it.
I hope that this week, you take one step toward your dream. Even if a simple shift in thinking from fearing that you “can’t” to believing that you “can” – that shift is a HUGE step.
