What is the ugliest part of you? You know – that characteristic, body part or behavior that you wish you could just cover up and it would go away for ever?
For me, it used to be how sensitive I am, my fear of rejection, and (the worst,) – I seem to fall in love a lot. When a family member mocked the revolving door of boyfriends, I felt like a freak. Here’s the truth of my “ugly flaw”: I am a hopeful romantic. I give people a chance. I value relationships and I want a partner. That’s not so bad, is it? In fact, it's beautiful.
Usually, the parts of ourselves that we most loathe are the best parts of our souls. If you are sensitive, you are probably also compassionate and loving. If you are forgetful, you probably have big vision ideas. We have to reframe, embrace and share all that we are.
When you reject or try to cover up a trait, you are LESS than yourself. As Marianne Williamson says, “Your playing small does not serve the world.” We need your FULL essence, your purpose.
In this week’s PurposeFULL Monday, I share how to embrace your whole essence and why you must do so. This is a major key to living your purpose! If you DON’T stand tall and proud in your full worth, then you aren’t impacting the world as well as you can.
