About The Women's Day Event
The Women's Day Event is a free event that will be the world's largest celebration for International Women's Day! Leadership, health and well-being speakers, and authors from around the world are collaborating to create a full day of inspiration, celebration, movement, and empowerment - exactly what we need now.
COVID has been especially challenging for women as they took on more household duties of "homeschooling" and childcare, all while working full-time, losing jobs, or needing to pivot hours. These conditions have added stress and obstacles for career and financial advancement, at the very time when women's voices and talents are needed more than ever to advance our workplaces, governments, and our world.
The Women's Day Event 2021 allowed thousands of women to RISE UP. It was the world's largest gathering for International Women's Day, reaching 100,000 women, with 2,500 women in attendance during the live 12-hour event.
A portion of the 2021 event proceeds went to The Power of Girlhood™, a leadership development organization that serves adolescent girls in the Detroit area, and a portion of the 2022 event proceeds will go to another non-profit that supports girls and young women.

We believe all women have the right to our bodies, our voices, and our dreams.
